This pair of guaranteed unbreakable steel bench holdfasts allows you to quickly and easily clamp down your timber work piece. Measuring 250mm x 125mm x 19mm, your workbench top should be at least 75mm (3″) thick for these to hold correctly (If your bench top is less than this you could easily add a piece of timber underneath where you need to work).
To use, simply insert the holdfast into a 19mm (3/4″) hole in your workbench and then lower it down to on top of your project (for best results, place a sacrificial piece of timber between the holdfast and your project so as to not damage your project before clamping down). You then hit down with a hammer to clamp your work piece firmly to your workbench.
When done, the work piece is easily released with a quick knock to the back of the holdfast with a hammer. See attached photos for more information on using your holdfasts.
